So what about the weight? You say, "Sure these fins have a great shape. They look cool as hell, and I will never break one, but why would I buy one when they are going to be so much heavier than a fiberglass one?" Are they really that much heavier? That was one of the first questions we asked ourselves when we came up with the idea of an aluminum fin. Since the dawn of wakeboarding we have been pushing the envelope of technology trying to design an incredibly lightweight board. So why make a heavy fin?

Well one of the first things we did was compare the weight of a fiberglass fin to one of our aluminum fins. We compared two 2.0" A-tacs. The aluminum fin weighed 1/2 ounce more. If you are that concerned about weight don't take that shot of tequila before jumping in the water and you will be half an ounce ahead.
